The removal of encroachments without active co-operation of the business community would remain a dream, said Rawal Town Nazim Rashid Shafique here on Saturday. Traders of Murree Road and Raja Bazar should not allow anyone to encroach the roads, streets and footpaths.
The Nazim said while addressing the weekly meeting of the officers of the Rawal Town administration at his office. Rashid Shafique said the Town administration would start an operation against encroachers and no one would be spared. Without a reckless operation against encroachments neither the city would be cleaned nor did bring the traffic jams to an end, he added.
The Nazim said that new boards would be installed at 'no parking' areas in the city and anyone who violates these areas would be fined heavily. He said the town administration has increased the pace of the development work and very shortly different projects would be completed, adding t6he people should come forward if they see any wrongdoing in development projects.
Nazim said that during the last one and half year, the town administration had passed a large number of residential building plans lying pending for the last 10 years. He said that building department of the town administration was bound to inform the applicant within a month if the plan is not in line with the rules.
