The Lahore High Court (LHC) upheld the objection of the office raised on a petition filed against Corps Commanders for discussing the political situation of the country in their meeting.
The petitioner President Pakistan Lawyers Forum (PLF), A K Dogar contended that the military officials were under oath not to interfere in the politics of the country but the respondents discussed the political affairs of the country in their meeting.
He, therefore, prayed to the court to direct the respondents not to interfere in the political affairs in future. The office had returned the petition to the petitioner being not maintainable.
The petitioner, therefore, approached the office again and requested to place his petition before any bench for deciding its maintainability. The bench here on Thursday heard the petitioner at length and upheld the objection of the office.
