USAID plans to replace old agri tube-well

LAHORE: USAID has planned to replace old and inefficient agriculture tube-well in collaboration with Lesco.

According to Lesco sources here, it has established a special counter in this regard in its regional Customer Services Centre to provide information and directions to those desirous of availing the facility.

According to USAID, tube wells installed in Pakistan have become old and useless and are working with only 30 percent efficiency.

The Agriculturists could change their old and inefficient tube well pumps and motors by paying half of the cost under this programme. USAID will bear the remaining share of 50 percent.
