JKPM rejects Indian PM's statement on Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples

Movement (JKPM) in Indian occupied Kashmir a constituent of All

Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has rejected the statement of Indian Prime Minister

Dr. Manmohan Singh.

APHC leader and Chairman of JKPM, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, said in a

statement issued in Srinagar that Kashmir dispute could

not be established by creating job opportunities for the youth who had

been nurtured freedom struggle with their blood, Kashmir Media Service reported.

He said that India could not get legitimacy for its illegal

occupation of the territory through offering developmental packages.

Mir said that India was insincere in resolving the

internationally recognised Kashmir dispute, which posed a potential

threat to the peace, security and development of the South Asian

region.

Urging Indian government not to indulge in the futile

exercises by constituting committees and commissions to hoodwink

International community on Kashmir, the JKPM Chairman said that the

civil society in India had started responding to the accesses and

atrocities committed by the troops in the occupied territory, which

was a positive development for the freedom loving Kashmiri people.

Welcoming the resumption of composite dialogue between

Pakistan and India, Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that the settlement of

Kashmir dispute was vital to the cordial bilateral relationship

between both the countries.

The APHC leader emphasized upon the trilateral talks to

resolve the long-pending dispute including Pakistan, India and the

real Kashmiri leadership.
