ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Wednesday reserved its judgment on Sindh Assembly's constituency PS-114 Karachi election matter.
A three-member bench of the court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case filed by Pakistan Muslim Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Irfan Marwat against his disqualification by the Election Tribunal.
It is to mention that Irfan Marwat won provincial assembly election on a PML-N ticket in 2013 general elections.
Mutthida Quomi Movement's Rauf Saddique challenged Marwat's success before the Election Tribunal which ordered re-election in the constituency.
The Chief Justice remarked that National Database and Registration Authority's (NADRA) biometrics machines did not verify thumb impressions of more than 14000 votes.
He remarked that it was duty of the election staff to register correct Identity Card numbers.
The court after hearing arguments of both parties reserved verdict in the case.
