Panamagate Case: PM has nothing to do with London flats, counsel Raja

imageISLAMABAD: Hassan and Hussain Nawazs counsel Salman Akram Raja had informed the Supreme Court that Hussain Nawaz was the beneficial owner of the London flats, after a hearing Panama Case resumed on Tuesday (today).

The five-member bench including Justice Azmat Saeed, Justice Ijaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Hasan, were hearing the case against the children of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The counsel for Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, Salman Akram Raja, continued his arguments before the apex court. Raja informed the court that Hussain Nawaz was the beneficial owner of the London flats, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had no connection with the London flats.

On Monday, details of all gifts received and the distribution of properties among the members of the Sharif family were submitted before the bench.

In the previous hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted the record of Ishaq Dars statement in Supreme Court

Shahid Hamid, the counsel of Ishaq Dar, in his arguments said that the disqualification plea against his client was dismissed in intra-court appeal, while the decision of dismissing references against Nawaz Sharif and other have already been quoted.

The prime ministers lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Naeem Bukhari, Sheikh Rashid, Jamaat-e-Islami counsel Taufiq Asif, Maryam Nazwaz counsel Shahid Hamid have completed their arguments in the case.
