ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday upheld the verdict of Sindh High Court (SHC) and quashed the travel ban on the fashion model Ayyan Ali, dismissing the petition filed by federal interior ministry.
According to local TV channels, the top court of Pakistan has ordered removal of Ayyan Alis name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
It should be mentioned here that the federal interior ministry, a couple of days ago (Friday) challenged the SHC verdict regarding withdrawal of Ayan Alis name from exit control list in the apex court in currency smuggling case.
Ayyan will leave the country to meet her ailing mother, as soon as she gets a copy of the courts verdict, one of her lawyers, Qadir Khan Mandokhel said while talking to the media.
