KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Friday having 49963.77 points with a positive change of 228.59 and volume of 384,499,940 shares.

High and Low were 50886.80 and 49900.63 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 597,964,690 shares with 398 total traded companies out of which 140 were up 245 were down and 13 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 184,086,400 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 89,568,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 165,252,000 and price per share of 10.67 (0.42), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 29,699,500 of price per share of 57.33 (2.02), Aisha Steel Millwith a volume 16,076,500 of price per share of 24.04 (0.03).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share 9000.00 (98.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1800.25 (85.72) and Thal Ind.Corp.XD share of 534.45 (25.45).

The top three decliners were Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 1710.00 (90.00), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4489.08 (82.48) and Siemens Pak.XD share of 1084.28 (51.25).
