imageUltimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor McGregor will be out from the octagon for 10 months, this was stated by UFC President Dana White.

McGregor, however, has indicated that he might return soon.

The last conversation that Conor and I had, he said was taking ten months off. Everybody keeps talking about, but Im not even thinking about Conor, White said, reported LA Times.

Conor is not in my plans for the next ten months at all. Listen, we have run a business where we make fights. I know who's available and I know who's not available, he added.

McGregor would be out of the ring as he awaits the birth of his first child.

The Irish champion however, hinted of his earlier return.

I know Dana is saying 10 months. Why? The babys born in May. Im weighing my options. Im ready for anything. Well see what happens, he RTE Sport.

Earlier or not, McGregor will not be available at the UFC 207, which marks the return of Ronda Rouseys to the octagon, she will faced current champion Amanda Nunes.
