RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 47424.63 points with a positive change of 504.16 and volume of 140,850,560 shares.

High and Low were 47563.46 and 46920.47 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 273,091,680 shares with 409 total traded companies out of which 228 were up 161 were down and 20 were unchanged.

CEMENT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 45,996,400 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 34,047,200 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 21,979,500 and price per share of 9.25 (0.05), Dewan Cement with a volume 18,903,500 of price per share of 39.01 (1.78), Fauji Cement with a volume 11,295,000 of price per share of 43.06 (0.94).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share 9145.71 (433.20), Sanofi-Aventis price per share of 2590.87 (123.37) and Pak Tobacco share of 1300.00 (55.40).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4605.76 (110.24), Millat Tractors with price per share of 872.64 (16.67) and National Refinery share of 562.37 (12.31).
