KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wassan has ordered strict implementation of the code of ethics formulated for "hide collection," during Eid ul Azha in the province.
In his directives, issued on Thursday, to the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and Inspector General of Police - Sindh, he said all stakeholders must be kept on board for implementation of the "code," formulated after extensive deliberations.
He said on the occasion of Eid ul Azha when faithfuls are occupied in realization of their religious obligations of "qurbani" organizations keen to collect hides of animals sacrificed by people must follow certain principles and codes of ethics.
"This is to ensure that spirit of Eid ul Azha and the associated concept of sacrifice is not marred by unfortunate incidents of snatching and bickering among the hide or skin collectors," said the minister.
Manzoor Hussain also ordered the concerned officials to ensure formation of district, tehsil and town level control rooms where people could register their complaints in case of any untoward incident during the forthcoming festival.
The Home Minister appealed to the masses not to forget, during Eid ul Azha, the people who were severely affected due to current year rains in the province.
They need maximum assistance and support, said the minister.
