The Sindh government has announced a public holiday all across the province on December 27 (Tuesday) on account of the death anniversary of slain leader and former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
According to local media reports, all offices, autonomous or semi-autonomous, working under the Sindh government will remain closed as per the notification released by the provincial government. However, Federal government didnt announce any such holiday in account of Shahdat of Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari has also reached Karachi on Friday after spending 18-months in Dubai. He would also visit Garhi Khuda Bukhsh to pay homage to her slain wife.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will organise a function to commemorate the anniversary in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, district Larkana which is expected to be addressed by former president Asif Ali Zardari.
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27, 2007 outside Liaqat Park Rawalpindi. She was leaving after addressing a public rally.
