HONG KONG: Shares clawed back slightly Wednesday morning after suffering a four-day losing streak, with traders tracking another record close on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.64 percent, or 139.31 points, to 21,868.37 by the break.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.95 percent, or 29.47 points, to 3,132.35, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, increased 0.50 percent, or 9.97 points, at 1,991.29.
