LAHORE: Christian community in the provincial capital looks enthusiastic for the preparations of its grand festival Christmas which is just four days away.
The cheerful occasion of Christmas has filled the atmosphere with Christmas tree, Santa Claus, Christmas gifts and carols.
"Christmas is an occasion for us to enjoy and celebrate. We decorate Christmas trees with ornaments and visit family and friends to exchange gifts and greeting cards," said a group of young girls while talking to APP here on Tuesday.
"We have almost completed our preparations and now we are preparing to decorate the Christmas trees in our homes," they said.
Girls and boys studying in various educational institutions run by churches are rehearsing for tableaus and carols to add charm to the Christmas functions.
All young and old are visiting markets of the city to shop for themselves and their loved ones while youngsters are showing interest in buying Christmas cards and gifts to show their love.
Christmas preparations would reach its climax with the jingling of bells and singing of hymns at churches at midnight on December 24 saying, "Joy to the world, the Christ is born."
Churches in this regard are being washed and decorated with buntings and Christmas trees. The bakery points are also being decorated with Christmas cakes and many more eatables.
Sacred Heart Cathedral on The Mall, St. Andrew's Church, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, St. Anthony's Church, St. James Church, St. Joseph's Church, St. Mary's Church, The Vincent Church and Cathedral Church would expected to be highly visited on December 25, 2016 due to their great work of decoration.
