The Punjab government has finally approved a plan of establishing an international standard agro and autos support centre at Daska for booming up, upgrading and modernising Desk's farm machinery manufacturing industry.
This was disclosed by the Project Director of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) Ehsan Iqbal, while talking to the newsmen at Daska on Friday. Daska Engineering and Industrial Association President, Habibur Rehman Mughal and Information Secretary Shahid Nadeem Mughal were also present on this occasion.
Ehsan Iqbal said Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had also released a special grant of Rs 100 million for the early establishment of this project, which would be completed and run by the PSIC in collaboration with Daska Engineering and Industrial Association. The construction work on this project would start soon.
