NAUDERO: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani arrived here on Monday with the coffin of Begum Nusrat Bhutto as a mark of respect to the mother of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Dr Farooq Sattar of Mutahida Qaumi Movement led a delegation of his party members that also included Wasim Akhter, Dr. Saghir Ahmed and others to attend the funeral prayer of the former first lady and widow of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Syed Ghaus Ali Shah, President, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) along with senior party members were among several prominent politicians to reach Naudero House as a mark of respect for the lady.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chairman, PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, other prominent PPP leaders and politicians from different parties attended the funeral prayer at Naudero House (President House).
Funeral prayer was offered after the relatives and close family friends had the last glimpse of Begum Bhutto.
The coffin is being carried to the ancestral graveyard of the Bhutto family in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, where another session of funeral prayer would be held.
