In what looks like a cross between the Tron Bike and the BatPod, BMW just unveiled, a new concept bike dubbed ?BMW Motorrad Vision Next 100? at an event in Santa Monica, California.

What sets this bike apart that it is self-balancing due to the aid of gyroscopes and would even stand upright when still. As far as safety hazards are concerned, BMW states that - essentially being a ?smart? bike ? the rider would not be wearing helmets but instead will employ the use of a visor that would project critical information without having the rider to look around much. Furthermore, the automobile manufacturing pioneer also contends that the bike is intelligent enough to avoid vehicular accidents and road hazards.

BMW also added that the bike would be zero emission but has not as of now said if it would electric.
