lifestylKARACHI: Showcase the evolution and trends in the world of communication the first `Transform 2011' marketing communication conference was organised here.

A statement here on Tuesday said that Transform 2011 brought together the experts and specialists of the industry to share insights in modern marketing, social media, advertising and technology.

The speakers at the conference included CEO, Xenith Public Relations Ms. Zainab Ansari, CEO, Resource Edge, Afzal Shahabuddin, CEO, The Brand Crew, Amin Rammal among others.

The event attracted an audience mix of students and teachers of reputed business institutions along with noted members of the business fraternity.

Ms. Zainab Ansari sharing her thoughts said honing skills in the art of communication is crucial to a business's success.

To effectively communicate, we must realise that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.

Afzal Shahabuddin speaking to participants said remarkable brand experiences leave a mark. Whether the experience is remarkably good, or remarkably bad, these memories are mind-share and go a long way in ensuring brand loyalty.

Considering the increasing number of platforms now available to the industry to place their messaging on, it has become vital for businesses to make their presence felt over there.

Social media with its targeted personal approach has changed the dynamics of how people communicate and needs to be adapted and incorporated while devising a communications plan, said Amin Rammal, during his presentation.
