Pak, China civil nuclear cooperation carry-out international obligations

chinaaBEIING: China on Monday reiterated that the civil nuclear cooperation with Pakistan fulfils international obligations.

The spokesman for Chinese Foreign Ministry Liu Weimin while responding to a question on China-Pakistan civil nuclear cooperation for Cheshma nuclear power plant said that such cooperation between the countries is in line with international obligations.

Liu said that "the civil nuclear cooperation between China and Pakistan is for peaceful purposes".

He further said that the cooperation is also subject to supervision of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency).
