QUETTA: Flights by airplanes over border town of Chaman and other border areas, echoed in the session of the Balochistan Assembly on Monday. Deputy Speaker Syed Matiullah Agha presided over the assembly session.
Speaking on point of order, Minister for Revenue and Local Government and Awami National Party (ANP) leader Eng. Zamarak Khan Piralizai said that last day, airplanes of forces, stationed in Afghanistan continued hovering over Pakistani border town of Chaman and other border areas of the country for 20 minutes.
He said low-flying of jets over Pakistani areas caused panic among the dwellers of the border areas. He demanded of the federal government to conduct an inquiry in this regard.
He also raised issue of high prices of cattle ahead of Eidul Azha and termed smuggling of cattle was basic cause.
Provincial Ministers including Senior Minister Maulana Abdul Wasey, Ali Madad Jatak, Aslam Bezinjo, Shama Pervin Magsi, Eng. Zamarak Khan, Aainullah Sham, Rehila Durrani, Dr. Ruqayya Saeed Hashmi, Jan Ali Changezi, Mir Sadiq Umrani, Syed Ahsan Shah and others condemned remote control and rocket attack on convoy of Balochistan Minister and noted tribal chieftain Sardar Sanaullah Zehri. They termed the attack violation of Balochi traditions and sought investigation into the incident.
Minster for Irrigation Aslam Bezinjo and Minister for Industries Syed Ahsan Shah alleged that no official advertisements were being given to lonely Balochi language private TV channel.
Meanwhile, on the request of ministers including Dr. Ruqayya Saeed Hashmi, Rahila Durrani, Jan Ali Changezi and Asad Baloch, Fateha Khwani was offered for mother of Speaker Balochistan Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhootani, Dr. Mazar Khan Baloch, and victims of Mastung and Akhtarabad tragedies. Later, the chair adjourned the session till Thursday.
