HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares ended 2.01 percent higher Monday after positive US economic data and a weekend meeting where European leaders vowed to take swift and decisive action to tackle its debt crisis.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 372.20 points to 18,873.99.
