An open auction of attractive registration numbers of 'LZU' series is being held here at the district office of Excise & Taxation Department on Monday, July 11. According to official sources, the reserved price for participation in bidding for LZU-1 is be Rs 10,000/-, for LZU-7 and LZU-786 Rs 7,500/- each while it is be Rs 5,000/- each for remaining 133 attractive numbers of the series.
According to Director Excise & Taxation Region-C Lahore, Chaudhry Masood ul Haq, wide publicity arrangements have been made to ensure maximum participation of people in the bidding process.
Under the new scheme and policy guidelines issued by the sitting Secretary Excise & Taxation, Sami Saeed, sealed bids are also invited for sale of three-digit numbers of any series of registration marks in Lahore. The reserved price fixed for participation in sealed bid is Rs 1,000. The sealed bids will be opened on Tuesday, July 12.
He further said that the provincial government is fetching substantial revenue through open auction of attractive registration marks of vehicles in the province, which has been made transparent.
