Emirates SkyCargo is gearing up for upcoming mango season in Pakistan and will be tickling the palates of everyone from Amsterdam to Zurich, the statement issued here said. The airline is known to have made significant contributions in helping exporters utilise its sizeable capacity for carriage of perishable items that have to be delivered to market in a timely manner.
Every year Emirates SkyCargo has broken its own previous record.
In fact, in 2004, the cargo division broke its own network records in Pakistan by uplifting 33.2 tonnes of cargo onboard Airbus A330-200 aircraft on a flight bound to Europe from Karachi.
This is a new world record and one of a series of substantial cargo achievements, as the earlier world record of uplifting 31.8 tonnes was also held by Emirates SkyCargo Pakistan, the statement added.
Ram Menen, Emirates' Senior Vice President Cargo, congratulated the entire Emirates SkyCargo Pakistan team for achieving this world-wide record and said that it was a direct result of teamwork.
"Emirates is strongly committed to serving Pakistani market. It is this commitment that has led to a tremendous growth in the operations of Emirates SkyCargo Pakistan," said FD Malik, Emirates' Cargo Manager in Pakistan.
"We are helping importers and exporters to avail themselves of our vast distribution network by creating supply chain efficiencies that allow quick delivery of consignments and ease in custom clearance", the statement added.-PR
