The government has appointed former High Commissioner of Pakistan to Kenya Hameed Asghar Kidwai as roving Ambassador of Pakistan to Sub Saharan Africa. The former banker Kidwai was credited with increase of Pakistan exports to the East African market from $12 million to $150 million over three years. As a roving Ambassador, Kidwai will have his office in the Commerce Ministry.
The roving ambassador to Middle East Ahsanullah Khan is being appointed as Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it is reliably learnt.
He will replace Air Marshal Qaiser Hussain (Retd) at the end of his assignment.
