Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will lay the foundation stone of Sindh Small Industrial Estate (SSIE) at Northern Bypass here on Sunday. Sindh Minister for Labour, Transport, Industries and Commerce Muhammad Adil Siddiqui announced this after his return from Islamabad here on Friday. The Minister said the Sindh Small Industries Corporation (SSIC) was establishing a Small Industrial Estate at northern bypass on 100 acres of land, while 30 acres of the land had been reserved for women small industrialists. He said the project would be completed in three years with the total estimated cost of Rs 106 million.
It is worth mentioning that 629 plots, measuring 500 square yards and 250 square yards respectively would be available for small industrialists, where they would be provided all facilities for production, marketing and exporting.
Roads, water supply, sewerage, power, phone, gas and other civic facilities would be provided for the scheme by the SSIC, while special emphasis has been laid on residential colony for the workers, school, park, hospital, mosque, bank, restaurant, petrol pump, telephone exchange and other infrastructure.
Adil Siddiqui said the said facilities would also be provided for the 190 industrial plots, reserved for women on 30 acres of land. The Minister said the SSIC had already established 15 industrial estates and three industrial parks in the province.
