The ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Monday met former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali at Balochistan House. Chaudhry Shujaat's younger brother and PML MNA Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain was also present on the occasion. They discussed party's organisational matters in the backdrop of the reports of differences. Later, talking to reporters Jamali said the party leadership has reassured him that party members would be consulted and taken into confidence on all party affairs. "I am a Muslim League worker and don't ever think to hurt the party interests," Jamali said.
Jamali, however, didn't comment when asked about offer of the slot of senior vice president of the ruling PML to him.
PML chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, talking on the occasion, asked the media to avoid giving conflicting reports.
