imagePakistanis have made a reputation for themselves for being geniuses when it comes to technologies, whether it comes to hacking, I mean ethical by the way or developing software, or just being good with the good old Microsoft Office, we sit right there at the top.

A group of Pakistani students made the country proud once again, by winning bronze at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2016 (MOSWC) held in Florida US.

Two students Waqas Ali and Shahzaib Ishaq, won bronze medals at the MOSWC. Waqas won his second medal along with $1500 for his expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (for Office 2013), reported the local media.

Whereas, Shahzaib won a bronze medal and $1000 in prize money for skills in Office 2010. A total of six Pakistani students participated.

This Championship is an annual event conducted by Microsoft, where competitors ages 13 to 22, came from 50 countries around the world to showcase their expertise in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel using both the 2010 and 2013 versions, reported CNN.

"Some call it the nerd Olympics," said Craig Bushman, marketing VP at Certiport who has run the event for six years with Microsoft.
