Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday appealed the international community and human rights groups to take immediate notice on massive human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play their due role to stop these violations. Talking to ARY and giving a message to international community and HR groups on eve of hunger strike by the Kashmiri leadership in occupied Kashmir, he said they should play their due role to stress India to immediately stop the continuation of suppression against innocent people.
Indian forces, he said, after the recent visit of Indian premier Manmohan Singh to the occupied Kashmir, has stepped up the continuation of suppression in the occupied valley.
APHC PLAN: Mirwaiz said that the entire leadership of Hurriyat Conference, including executive committee, general council and its all units, would announce a programme to condemn the act of HR violations.
Under the programme, he said people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir would be asked to come on roads and hold protest demonstrations against the suppression of occupied forces.
He said: "Indian troops are dealing the people of Jammu and Kashmir with inhuman and immoral manner. House-to-house search operations, dragging of passengers from vehicles, desecration of women, killing during detention, burning of houses and abduction of youths are common tactics of suppression by Indian troops."
