Fawad Khan, who has been basking in the success of ‘Kapoor & Sons’ is juggling around different scripts for his next movie. As per the latest buzz, he has bagged lead role in Zoya Akhtar’s next directorial venture which also have Ranveer Singh in the pivotal role.
From Karan Johar to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, rumours of several big directors approaching him with meaty roles have surfaced online. Zoya Akhtar is known for making breakthrough movies like ‘Talaash’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. She has now reportedly approached Fawad Khan for her next movie.
Zoya Akhtar, has approached Fawad Khan for her movie. The film is reportedly about Mumbai rappers and it already has Ranveer Singh in one of the lead roles. Interestingly, one of the lead roles was first offered to Hrithik Roshan, according to DNA India. Though the actor recently denied that Zoya did not approach him with any script, the Indian daily reported that Hrithik was not too keen on doing a two-hero film.
She loved Fawad in Kapoor & Sons and decided to work with him right after watching the film. However, she never had him in mind while writing this film. When Hrithik said no, she was in need of a dashing hero who could also act well. Fawad totally fit the bill, the report added.
The Pakistani actor is yet to discuss further details about the movie before making an official announcement.
