LHC bench at Faisalabad opposed

The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has called upon the government to abstain from constituting Faisalabad bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The bar in its meeting chaired by its Vice President, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Bokhari expressed the resolve that the constitution of more benches of the LHC would hurt the unity of the lawyers.
The bar also resolved that such actions of the government were against the dignity of judiciary.
The bar also maintained that Prime Minister's announcement to constitute LHC bench at Faisalabad was illegal and unconstitutional.
