Hazrat Imam Hussain's Chehlum on April 11

This year, 'Chehlum' of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) will be observed on April 11, that is, Safar-ul-Muzaffar 20, 1425 A H.
On this day, a procession will be taken out from Nishter Park at about 1300 hours.
Prior to this procession, an Alam procession will come out from Imambargah Martin Road at about 0900 hours and it will terminate at Nishter Park where a Majlis will be held before the main procession, which will terminate at Imambargah Hussainia Iranian.
The route of the main procession will be as under: Nishter Park, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Father Geminiz Road, Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khurasan, M A Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, again M A Jinnah Road, Boulton Market, Bombay Bazar, Kharadar, Nawab Mahabat Khanji Road to Hussainia Iranian Imambargah.
As soon as the procession will start from Nishter Park, all vehicular traffic will be diverted from the junction of M A Jinnah Road/Dr Dawoodpota Road to Soldier Bazaar.
All traffic on Soldier Bazaar Road, from its junction with Dr Dawoodpota Road up to its junction with Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road shall move one-way.
All buses, minibuses, trucks etc coming from Nazimabad side will be diverted onto Nishter Road towards Zoological Garden to reach their destinations.
All buses, minibuses, and trucks etc coming from Liaquatabad side will be diverted onto Martin Road towards Jail side.
These vehicles shall, however, be permitted to proceed up to Jail and shall then proceed via Jamshed Road, Dada Bhoy Naoroji Road, Kashmir Road, Shahrah-e-Quaideen, Sharea Faisal up to Gora Qabristan and then via Mubarik Shaheed Road, Iqbal Shaheed Road, Lucky Star, Sarwar Shaheed Road, Dr Dawoodpota Road, Preedy Street to their normal route.
When the head of the procession reaches the junction of M A Jinnah Road/Mansfield Street these vehicles shall proceed straight for 602 EME Workshop, Mubarik Shaheed Road, Iqbal Shaheed Road, Lucky Star, Sarwar Shaheed Road, Fatima Jinnah Road, Din Muhammad Wafai Road (old Stratchen Road), Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Road, M A Jinnah Road till the situation permits when these vehicles shall be diverted onto I I Chundrigar Road from the junction of Court Road/M R Kiyani Road. Similarly, all buses, minibuses approaching the city from Stadium Road side shall proceed via New M A Jinnah Road. These vehicles shall be diverted at Dada Bhoy Road.
All trucks, buses, minibuses approaching from Super Highway side shall be diverted from Al Azam Square towards Chowrangi No 2 Nazimabad and shall proceed along Estate Avenue Road, Shershah to Mauripur Road. For return journey these vehicles shall proceed via the same route.
All buses, minibuses and trucks approaching from National Highway side shall proceed via Rashid Minhas Road, Stadium Road, Sir Shah Muhammad Sulaiman Road, Hassan Square, Liaquatabad No 10, Nazimabad Chowrangi No 2, Habib Bank, Manghopir Road, Estate Avenue Road, Shershah, Mauripur Road. For return journey these vehicles shall also adopt the same route.
All car traffic shall not be permitted to proceed towards the route of procession from Guru Mandir Roundabout. These vehicles shall be diverted onto Bahadur Yar Jang Road and again onto Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road. Under no circumstances these vehicles shall be permitted to proceed along Soldier Bazaar Road from the junction of Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road/Bahadur Yar Jan Road.
All car traffic coming from Quaid-e-Azam's Mazar side along M A Jinnah Road will be diverted towards Bahadur Yar Jan Road.
No vehicular traffic will be permitted to proceed towards Old Exhibition (Numaish) under any circumstances.
