Five government vehicles were badly damaged when these caught fire in early on Saturday morning at the parking area of Planning and Development Board Punjab (P&D).
According to the Islampura Police Station, the fire broke out six O'clock in the morning in one of the five cars, which later spread other cars.
However, the fire remained in the limits of car parking area and no damage was done to the P&D building.
The police have ruled out ant terrorist element in the fire and said that short-circuiting was most likely factor that triggered the fire.
They have declared the incident as accidental. However, police has registered a case.
