MULTAN: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Punjab Mian Maqsood Ahmed on Sunday urged government to use alternate resources for power generation to provide electricity on cheaper rates to the masses.
In a statement here, Punjab Mian Maqsood Ahmed said that Pakistan was rich in natural resources and relief could be provided to people by providing electricity on cheaper rates by generating power through water, air and coal.
He said that progress of country was not possible without resolving energy crises.
He also urged government to construct small dames for power generating to minimize the duration of loadsheding. Ameer JI expressed concern over unscheduled loadshedding in the country.
