They say that the Pakistan’s Youth is full of talent, they are not mistaken as Abdullah Soomro is a fine example.
The 23 year old entrepreneur from Pakistan who runs a hyperlocal delivery business realized a very common but real problem, his delivery riders which remained on road for hours and in constant touch with customers on their smartphones.
Naturally as per Tech in Asia, this mentioned activity drained their batteries quickly, with few charging facilities and no easy solution offerd by the market. Soomro led the invention of a power bank called ‘Flash Pack’, this device can charges your mobile in just 14 minutes using any standard laptop charger.
‘Flash Pack’ is currently in under development stage with a fully functional prototype and will be shipping to early backers by June 2016, according to a press release.
Soomro a mechanical engineer by training, started working on the prototype as a hobby, but later decided to turn the hobby into a full time development project. After 6 months of intense testing, development and several prototypes, he is ready to launch the product through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
“Flash Pack is small, it’s handy and easy to carry around and charges in a flash – just under quarter of an hour.” Said Soomro.
Soomro is looking to raise about $30,000 to fund the initial tooling and manufacturing for the first batch of Flash Pack, and with manufacturers in China already up to speed on the manufacturing plan, Flash Pack will reach all early backers in June 2016.
