The federal government on Wednesday increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) under the revised daily petroleum pricing mechanism, with the new rates taking effect at midnight.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot price of petrol (Motor Spirit) by Rs6.39 per litre, raising it to Rs327.12 per litre from Rs320.73.
The ex-depot price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) was increased by Rs7.83 per litre to Rs375.04 per litre, up from Rs367.21.
The revised prices are effective from July 23, 2026, and have been notified under the government’s new daily petroleum pricing mechanism, which adjusts fuel prices in line with international market trends.
The latest increase follows a series of daily fuel price revisions introduced after the government replaced the previous weekly pricing regime with a daily adjustment mechanism aimed at reflecting fluctuations in global oil markets more quickly.
