3-day anti-polio drive to start from Monday
FAISALABAD: A three-day anti-polio drive will start in Faisalabad from Monday. Inaugurating the anti-polio drive in General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad here on Saturday evening, Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Dr. Abdur Rauf said that all arrangements have been completed to achieve 100 percent target of anti polio campaign.
He said that more than 1.14 million children up to the age of 5 years will be administered anti-polio drops in the Faisalabad district.
For this purpose, 2,729 teams have being constituted, he said and added that 2,212 teams will pay door-to-door visits to give anti-polio vaccine to the children present at their homes while remaining teams will remain available at public places including hospitals, bus/wagon stands, airport and railway stations.
In this connection, 445 area in-charges and 76 zonal officers have also been deputed to monitor the performance of these teams, he added.
