BEIJING: Prices of new homes, including state-subsidized ones, rose 1.9 percent in Beijing in August from a year earlier, unchanged from the 1.9 percent annual rise in July, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Sunday.
In Shanghai, new home prices climbed 2.8 percent in the year to August, compared with an increase of 2.5 percent in July.
Since early 2011, the agency has stopped publishing an average national home price index.
