frankfurtLONDON: European stock markets rose at the start of trading on Friday, extending the previous day's rally.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index rose 0.91 percent to 5,386.34 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index climbed 1.80 percent to 5,607.51 points and in Paris the CAC 40 advanced 1.27 percent to 3,084.16.

Global stocks surged on Thursday after major central banks joined hands to ensure dollar liquidity to Europe's embattled banks.
