LONDON: Copper fell to a one-month low on Wednesday after a stream of poor US economic data compounded concerns that the global economy is sliding towards another recession, following credit-rating downdown grades to two French banks.
Copper fell to $8,590 a tonne, down 2 percent from Tuesday's close at $8,780 a tonne, before trading at $8,597.50 a tonne at 1423 GMT.
