BIEK announces Pre-Engineering Annual Exam results

 KARACHI: Boys from Adamjee Government Science College bagged all the top three positions in the Class XII Science Pre-Engineering Annual Examination 2011 of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).

The Controller of Examinations of the BIEK announced the result on Monday.

Syed Hasan Murtaza with 998 marks out of the maximum of 1,100 was declared first. He was followed by Muhammad Asad Rizvi (996 marks) and Syed Muhammad Askar Jafri (994 marks).

According to the statistics, a total of 23,406 candidates appeared in the examinations and of these 1,035 were placed in A-I grade.

There were 2,573 A graders and 3,098 got B grade and 3,530 were placed in C grade.

As many as 1,825 candidates got D grade while 110 managed to pass with E grade.

A BIEK statement said that marks statements will be issued after two weeks from the respective institutions.

The BIEK on Monday also announced the result of HSC Part II Science General Group Annual Examination 2011.

Zainab Parveen of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women with 945 marks out of the maximum of 1,100 was declared first. Her college- mate Faryal Sharf with 941 marks remained second.

Zainab Ahmed of DA Degree College for Women with 938 marks remained third.

A total of 1,647 candidates appeared in the examination and pass percentage remained at 34.06.
