ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has postponed poll of Local Government bye-elections in Khyber Pakhtunkha scheduled to be held on January 23.
The fresh date of poll will be fixed after normalcy report from the provincial government, said a notification issued here on Thursday.
The commission took decision in the light of prevailing situation of threats and high alerts to educational institutions in KPK after Charsadda tragic incident took place yesterday in Bacha Khan University where number of persons have been martyred in a terrorist attack.
