KARACHI: Karachi on Sunday noon received heavy rains, sending low lying areas inundated and multiplying miseries for people.

Saddar, Liaquatabad, Jamshed Town, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Keamari and other areas of the city went badly affected due to rain with many of its streets and roads under knee deep rain water.

The area from Burns Road to Arts Council Chowrangi was inundated causing problems for both motorists and pedestrians.

The CDGK and town municipal officials focused on de-watering main roads and flyovers, neglecting inner streets of congested downtown residential areas.
