PM approves participation of AGP in 16th Governor Board meeting of ECOSAI

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has approved the participation of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP), Mr. Muhammad Akhtar Buland Rana, in the 16th Governing Board meeting of the Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of ECO Countries (ECOSAI) and Extraordinary Session of the ECOSAI Assembly to be held in Ankara, Turkey from October 04 to 06.

The Auditor General of Pakistan is the permanent Secretary General of ECOSAI and its Secretariat is established in the office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.

The Secretary General and the ECOSAI Secretariat coordinate all secretarial activities of the organization and provide all inputs for the Governing Board meetings, which inter alia, include preparation and presentation of the Annual Accounts, organization of Training Committee Meeting of the ECOSAI, preparation and presentation of Annual Report on the activities of the ECOSAI during the past year and publishing of ECOSAI Circular – an annual journal of the ECOSAI.
