KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain, on Tuesday called upon the countrymen to pledge on Defence Day of Pakistan that they would stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for defence of the motherland like they did against Indian aggression in 1965.
In his message on Defence Day of Pakistan, September 6, issued by MQM here, Altaf Hussain paid glowing tributes to martyrs and ghazis of armed forces for their sacrifices rendered for the defence of Pakistan.
He said September 6, 1965 is a very important day in history of the country when our soldiers successfully defended borders of the country.
Altaf Hussain also prayed for the martyred soldiers.
