Nishat Power reports profit

KARACHI: Nishat Power Ltd has posted profit after tax of Rs 1.210 billion during the six months ending December 31, 2010 against a loss after tax of Rs 12.025 million same period last year.

According to financial result of newly commissioned power plant sent to KSE on Friday, the profit before tax of the company stood at Rs 1.219 billion compared to a loss of Rs 10.068 million in 2009.

The company has declared an earning per share of Rs 3.420 during the period under review as against a loss per share of Rs 0.035 on December 31, 2009.
