HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares closed 0.53 percent higher on Friday as dealers moved in to pick up bargains in the afternoon following a four-session losing streak.The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 120.30 points to 22,828.92 on turnover of HK$89.81 billion ($11.53 billion).
Chinese shares closed up 0.33 percent, reversing earlier losses as property developers rebounded, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up 9.17 points at 2,827.33 on turnover of 127.7 billion yuan ($19.4 billion).
