KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Monday appointed a three members committee for hiring a new Pakistan team coach following the resignation of Waqar Younis.

"PCB has constituted a Committee to look for a new Coach," said a brief PCB statement.

Waqar Younis prior to his departure for Zimbabwe tour submitted his resignation to PCB citing health reasons for quitting the post after the trip to African country.

The committee is headed by former Pakistan Captain, manager and coach. Intikhab Alam and included former Pakistan test captain Zaheer Abbas and former wicketkeeper batsman Col (R) Naushad Ali as its member.

Former Pakistan Captain Ramiz Raja has consented to assist the Committee in selection of the Coach both from within and outside Pakistan. The Committee will start working after the Eid Holidays, it concluded.
