Colorful bangles soul of Eid festival

ISLAMABAD: The fashion of display, buying and selling colorful bangles is considered as the essence of Eid festivity for females of all ages.

Days before Eid, they start searching for matching bangles that not only meet their requirement of Eid preparations but also make their outlook attractive and joyous.

"Colorful, glittering and traditional set of bangles become the eye catching attraction for girls and women compelling them to buy every new style which is offered according to the changing trends," said a stall holder in a local market.

Women buy more than one set of bangles during the days before Eid to match up with their outfits according to their budget and age, he said.

Women and men stall holders setup special stalls at every market with a variety of traditional and contemporary styles, colors and patterns.

Pakistan have a large market of preparing and selling bangles which allows experimenting in styles every year on Eid while the trend of pasting fabric patches, adding beads and stones has also become an essential part of this industry.

Glass bangles are considered as the traditional accessory matching with the apparels is available on a large scale in every part of country while the young girls also demand metal bangles in different designs that are not commonly available.

Bangles are a form of fashion accessory allowed by tradition from centuries in Eastern countries which give a feeling of feminity to women and a festivity to girls, said Myra, a women buying bangles from a stall.
