LAHORE: Ameer, Jamat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq Thursday said that Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif rightfully presented the nation's sentiments regarding Kashmir issue in the UN General Assembly.
Talking to the members of the Standing Committees of the JI central Shoora at Mansoora here, he stressed that war mongering India must not become a member of the UN Security Council under any circumstances.
While opposing an increase in the UN Security Council membership, the JI chief called for complete restructuring of the United Nations.
The JI chief expressed satisfaction over the hoisting of the Palestine flag at the UN for first time and greeted the Palestinian people on this success.
He also demanded of the UN to take concrete steps for the liberation of Palestine from Israel occupation and accept her as a permanent member.
Meanwhile, the JI chief visited the residence of Haji Mian Riaz Ahmed,
who had been martyred in the Mina tragedy and expressed his deep condolences with the bereaved family.
