Member of Sindh assembly Sharmila Farooqui, a beautiful and outspoken Politician and media person of Pakistan’s People Party (PPP) got married to an investment banker Hasham Riaz on Thursday.
Sharmila Farooqui is a well known female PPP’s politician and the daughter of Usman Farooqui who was the former bureaucrat and chairman of Pakistan Steel Mill. Her husband Hasham Riaz is an investment banker by profession and is currently serving as an advisor to former President Asif Ali Zardari. He is also the son of former Director General of Federal Investigation of Authority (FIA) Ahmed Riaz.
Sharmila Farooqui’s wedding events begin from 22nd February to 8th March. The couple tied the nuptial knot on February 28 in the ‘Nikkah’ ceremony while the wedding took place on March 5, 2015.
According to local media reports, Sharmila Farooqui surprised everyone on Thursday by showing up on Sindh Senate election on her wedding day which according to her is a record. Sharmila Farooqui is a big supporter of women rights and her unique style of breaking society’s stereotypes will for sure remain a record for a long time to come. While talking to media Sharmila said that party is the first priority for her.
